YOU PULLED YOUR
June 19, 2025
You pulled your
comforting blanket
Off me
But!
exposing me
face to face
with my childhood
hurts
Standing tall and ugly.
Childhood hurts
all of a sudden
in my face.
They have not even withered
They were protected
from wind and elements
Even biting winds
Did not touch
at all.
So here I am
an abandoned toddler
Hurting
Shivering
with voice of that person
at Grand Central station
of train leaving now.
Imagine my shock when
announcer of trains coming and leaving
Announced no more trains
to where I need to go.
Once I was surrounded
with loving people
totally surrounded
But!
That scene has dissolved
Sometimes
a poem will come
but then it will leave.
