Is my mother’s birthday
If she was 116.
I saw whales spouting
over and over
Whales flukes waving
at us.
They would spout
and we would screech “ah ah”
I love this connection
with nature.
Whales live under water
I live in the city
In a human file cabinet
But today was connected
with spouts and “ahs ahs.”
