Waves whispering in my ear
Over and over
Sometimes howling
Sometimes faintly
The fog has spread its blanket
Over the beach
But!
Waves push back
fog’s blanket
so waves can breathe.
Waves come to me
Calling to me
Happy to see me
With outstretched arms
Wanting to hug me again.
