Tried ice skating
but somehow my skates
went to ridges
and I fell.
Then there was that time
I was wearing
my brother’s ice hockey skates
and couldn’t stop
so banged hard
into a metal rod
and had to have stitches.
Enjoy so much watching
graceful ice skaters
glide over ice
as if ice was smooth silver glass.
They can fly around
on the ice forever.
In my imagination
I can fly around
as though riding
on their backs.
