There is a big wound
inside me labeled Morton.
It has layers of hurt.
The wounds started
oh so long ago
when I was small
and the Morton hurt
was loud.
The stalagmite of Morton hurt
framed along with me
And, each time I talked with him
he rips the scab off
and piles on new hurt.
