Tears drip from my sides
as water drops fall
causing stalagmites and stalactites.
But you know, it hurts
when the drops fall.
The rain inside hurts
as though each drop is pulled out
by its roots.
The tug of pulling -
the falling
the collecting
of the tears into pools
into cliffs and mountains.
As my life goes on
the stalagmites and stalactites
get higher
and higher.
They never really melt.
I guess it will always
be this way in me.
