Absorbs my tears

As paper has listened
to writers for centuries
even listened
on Egyptian cave walls.
Paper you save me
From being alone –
a warm blanket.
I can’t talk to him
like I can write to paper.
Oh God!
I’m remembering
in a feeling way –

Other times with other men.
Have felt so alone
So totally alone
Where is that inner place
Where I feel balanced?
I search through tunnels
of my mind searching for it.
