Dainty snow
forming angora muffs, scarves and
caterpillar-down coverings
on branches and twigs.
Outside the dining room window
an already full snow scene
gracefully becoming fuller and fuller.
Autumn mustard leaves peep through
the white snow
as red little apples
make knot-like stitches
in the white wool needlepoint scene.
Spun feathery finery
I'd love to be able to capture
the pen and ink lines
and tell the story in lines and dimensions.
