I’ve always done everything
In an oddball way-
I took my pet lamb Jimmy
to kindergarten
and my dog Taffy
To summer camp
where we slept in
A horse stall.
My friends have gotten
garden type variety COVID-19
sore throat
fever-often high fever
Whereas I never had a fever at all.
what I had was fatigue
brain fog.
My brain would not
work at all –
all I wanted to do is sleep
One day tested positive
That is all.
That was days ago –
and I still want to sleep a lot
but not contagious
no temperature.
never a sore throat.
At first,I thought
I had a cousin to COVID-19
but now realize
just as I always do
had an oddball case
because I am an oddball extraordinaire.
