My niece who lives
countless miles away
emailed me today saying
I was OK
Wow! It was like
receiving a long brightly colored vitamin pill.
for the soul
So often in my life,
have gotten feedback
or felt I was not OK
which wilts me
into feeling like
a dead leaf.
But my nice today writing
I am OKAY
Puffed me up
and puffed me up inside.
My fingers grew long
and my shoes
developed high heels
and my face
immediately have concealer makeup
with very red lipstick!!
So special to have my nice
write me I am OK –
an inspiration
My gratitude zipped
Fast connected the waves between us
and become a messenger arrow
straight to her heart.
