My long-legged friend
is a city cowboy
rides around the city
at a whim.
Enjoying horizons
and peeping moons.
A city cowboy is he –
music by his side.
His car –
His close companion
an annex to him.
My long-legged friend

the city cowboy
will patiently ride
at a slow pace
by me at his side
but then when
I’m not there
He will gallop.
His horse will rear
up high.
Like Roy Rogers did on his horse
years gone bye
My long-legged friend
is the modern day city cowboy.
