If words had the qualities of music
And music was love
My heart would be lighter.
If every time I hummed a melody
I would feel a loving hand or a kind voice,
I would be happy.
Yes, music comforts me
For when I feel glum
And can hear a joyful tune
My soul is refreshed.
Music helps me interrupt my moods
Which can get very
complicated.
I would gladly listen for hours
To a friendly song
But it takes only a few sharp glances
Before the atmosphere turns over in a restless way.
Whenever I am confused,
I turn my confident heart to music
For music has the qualities of bringing warmth and understanding
Wonderful qualities to be able to turn to.
