Family—generations unfolding
like playing cards shuffling.
Family members have become
milestones.
Whereas in modern city living,
so many people moving
like shifting sands
leaving perhaps—if I’m lucky
small milestones.
But!
my family members were there
throughout history of my life
expanding over so many years.
So these precious milestones—

I want to keep for the next part of my life
