She was my best friend
Lisa talked fast
ate a lot
and was always skinny.
Every Friday evening
I went to her house
and spent the night
And then came home
and we would talk
on the telephone-
or she would talk.
I don’t remember what she said
But I do remember
her playing the piano
so eloquently and smoothly
and for so long.
