LIGHTS

May 2, 2020

Early Poems - Journals Book No. 1 on CD

What wonder in lights;
Imitation of the sun.
People squint, notice.
Fountains spurt feathers, not water,
New York is constructed of knots and
Spatters,
Magical, changed!
Even a cove at night gets fringed with
Beads
And music comes from the Northern lights.
What wonder has light!
Largest of man's lights, the H-bomb;
Blown-up power
While stars wink on.
