Being with you,
I'm relaxing on a lily pad
balanced on smooth water.
The gentle sun melting my edges.
The pad in perfect balance.
Then a bite
out of nowhere
bites and hurts.
Sharp teeth from a turtle
came camouflaged in the water.
When I go off
from being on the lily pad,
I'm bleeding!

Why does the turtle have to
stay around the lily pad?
Why does he have to bite me
each time I'm there?
