Want to write a poem
about my doctor
who never shames me
when I’m still overweight.
My doctor does not take
a magnifying glass
to my health flaws and scold
saying my fault.
He is there when I need him
like a good parent
and teaches me with kind words
what I need to do
to be healthier.
