I have a friend who had a suitcase
that would hold everything
when we went on long trips.
He could become a gallant herdsman
or swim in a tiny suit.
He had books
And toiletries I didn't understand.
I on the other hand
had not one but two big suitcases.
We hitchhiked in Ireland
and people always stopped
and somehow my big bags
would fit into their tiny cars
and off we'd go.
Try as I do-
impossible for me to travel light.
I plan, practice and promise self
Now I have one suitcase
but have to pay $25.00 to check it.
And while there
miss clothes left behind.
