I go to the doctor
He says “lose weight”
Dermatologist says
“your skin is too dry”
My sister
Has a whole
Litany of criticisms
But! then
With my poetry conference gathering!
It is all “ahhhs”
“I like that poem” and
“repeat
that poem”
and “thank you’s”!
What a treat
to spend time
With my poets gathering
