I feel a poem coming on.
I was standing in line at WaWa
and the pressure to write
building right there
in WaWa.
No place to write on.
So I held onto it
until I came home.
I want to write about
how I didn't take a bath
or wash my hair this A.M.,
and I didn't go to the lecture
on women in politics.
I never was a school leader
or a politician,
and it was ok.
I didn't take that bath
or wash my hair,
and I lived without
the lecture.
So many books today
talk about improving oneself
in every way.
Today I didn't try
and I survived.
I want you to know that
I didn't try and improve myself
today and I survived!
