Have not been to beach
for two long days
so wave’s arms
are raised high
in joy to see me.
There is a stone barricade
between us.
But still waves
are excited
to see me
And!
I am excited
to see them!
Lucky surfers
they can hug the waves
in ways I can not.
But nevertheless
waves are excited to see me
Even though I am afar.
