Droplets and other Poems
Chicago is a massive metallic monster
Walking hard and fast
With its pointed tail arched high
Forming sky scrapers.
He crushes flowers and earth.
Its eyes are red blinking lights
And its voice desperate.
The wind its breath
That bites into you
And chews you all up.
Black ugly smoke
Pours out of its mouth
Like ugly, hateful words.
Skin bacterias are sinking into this beast,
But he doesn't stop.
A child runs up to it
And is ignored.
Her tracks are quickly covered up
By his commotion.
