Carter is a pyramid
Stable, solid, definite.
From a distance;
Yet up close-
Some of the rocks tumble, slip and fall
Crashing to the ground
And could injure anyone climbing on it.
Yet, underneath is a firm and lasting foundation
That stands strong and still
Against the fads of the nations
And the forces of the times.
