Cannot stop aging
body parts wilting
like leaves wilting on trees
in autumn.
Can’t stop family
and friends from
vanishing.
Cannot stop
what I cannot stop.
But what I can stop is my thoughts
from being black to whites
and can move dark clouds
from over my head
by turning arms into pinwheels
Spinning and sweeping
black clouds away
and off.
So plants of green thoughts
can grow
watered by smiles
and sweet thoughts.
