Africa is a symphony
Of earth, animals and people
Undivided;
The symphony plays loud
And mighty with unmatched gusto.
The people wear the earth
The earth lives with them;
And their homes are earth and man,
And always have been.
I sing to you of Africa
With full lungs and a full voice.
Mountain blends into mountain,
Generation into generation.
There are no stop watches
And traffic lights to try to beat;
Time and space have no boundaries
They stretch on
They stretch wide
As does the native's patience.
