A so-called helper
years ago stole
all my jewelry.
Concussions did not
steel my memory.
Would rather have
precious memories
than those actual jewelry gemstones.
So grateful
for my memories.
Memories are my colorful palate
of paint colors
for my paintbrush,
and then for a pen to design
scenes and go “ah!”
