When I gaze upon a rainbow,
My faith is renewed in the promise
It stands for.
The vivid and dim colors
Represent vivid and dim promises.
The sincere promises have darkened
With the test of time
While the faint colors
Were not intended to be strong and everlasting.
I wish that every time a promise is granted
One could reply on its pureness
For a promise is a solemn oath
And each that is granted
Should contain a will for a gaily colored eternity.
