Being a wife I often feel
is making beds and cooking meals.
It's knowing when to speak your mind
and holding in so as be kind.
It's telling of little things
that together blessed meaning brings.
It's coddling and spoiling too
and also saying, "What a man are you".
All these happenings day by day
cause calendar pages to slip away.
